Studying
Today is the day that I start studying. Hoo-hum… In fact I should be going over my books instead of writing this. Yet I have my priorities right, It is far more important to stay in touch with my cousins then to stress over school.
In unrelated news that totally goes well with schooling, the big fancy downstairs coffee peculator is getting promoted to my room. Sheri has her own in her room, Dad just drinks decaf cappuccino, Karlin isn’t allowed much caffeine if any,and Mom has vowed to go on a coffee fast so to speak.
After being lied to by 3 agencies that are not working together, I think the books are really almost ready to come out of “aduanas”. It’ll be awesome when I can go pick them up, and stop worrying about it. Its such a pain.
I’ve been translating these last few church services for LaVernes, Glenn’s. What it involves is hearing a Sermon in Spanish then typing it out in English. I think its good for me, you really can’t put your brain in “neutral”. There is a big difference in people also. Its generally a bad idea to translate literally word for word, because of the difference in culture and subtle meanings that don’t get properly conveyed if its translated word for word. Thats where the fun is.
