Tues. evening service

So its a normal Tues. night church service. We listen to a interesting topic about the early Christian martyrs. Then after the announcements we have to decide what the youth are doing next since on Sunday we finished the book we were studying. So far the suggestions are:
1) Youth have their own class together, and either study a book of the bible, or some other book.
2) Youth are split into guys\gals and each have their own class.

Nearly everyone had commented that their preference would be #2 beforehand, so I was rather surprise when Gama suddenly spur of the moment changes his mind.

“Why don’t the youth take over teaching the little kids classes so that the married ladies who are teaching them now can be in with the adult class”. In all reality its not a bad idea, very generous. Gama just failed to see where it would take him.

So Dad says alright, lets vote on the three ideas. Of course with the help of the married ladies, Gama’s suggestion winds by a land-slide.

Alright says Dad, “lets have nominatio-” “GAMA” says Marta, followed by a very voiced approval from the rest of the youth group. Gama goes on to be elected as teacher for the class with about a dozen toddlers. The worst class, just because of the extreme difficulty in maintaining order.

So all in all, the best part is that I personally, along with the rest of the youth group that isn’t teaching a children’s class, will get to sit in on the adult class…. – which right now is studying the role of the wife in marriage.
